Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Framingham is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Framingham is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Massachusetts's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I returned to Bonded after several years with an older Allison transmission . The installation was a complicated custom situation. Dave in his usual cool manner gave a fast assessment of the problem. The experienced mechanic had the transmission out and analyzed in good time. They discovered and repaired problems that would have haunted me for a long time, including locating hard to find missing parts. This effort and commitment to great service keeps me and my family returning and "Bonded" to this shop!!

I took my truck to get the transmission checked out for some shuttering it was doing. I asked them to flush it they said they would after they did their inspection on it. They got back to me saying the transmission was no good and was leaking and provided an almost 8K estimate they also declined to flush it. I took it to another repair shop where they inspected it as well no leaks were found and after it was flushed the problem was solved. Bonded tried to scam me out of almost 8K horrible people and customer service. Will never go there again

I was uneasy about finding a trustworthy mechanic when my Toyota Tacoma’s transmission failed—unsure whether to repair it or simply junk the truck. After searching online, I came across Bonded Transmission. When I called and explained the situation, Dave invited me to bring the truck in. From the moment I met him, his confidence and straightforward approach stood out. He explained that he had a suitable replacement transmission and reassured me that a solid solution was within reach. That sense of certainty shifted my mindset almost instantly—I felt I had made the right decision. Around the same time, I was dealing with an urgent issue on another car. Without hesitation, and despite the 19-mile distance, I had it towed there as well, largely because of the trust Dave inspired. Bonded Transmission provided a clear, well-organized estimate outlining the necessary repairs at a reasonable cost. Their expertise, workmanship, and genuine care for customers set them apart from many repair shops I’ve used in the past. Discovering this shop felt like stumbling upon a hidden gem. It’s reassuring to know I finally have a reliable place to turn to for future car troubles. I highly recommend Bo

I had a terrible experience with this shop and would strongly advise others to stay away. I brought in my 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3, and they recommended a full transmission rebuild, claiming it would fix known issues with the GM 6L80/90 transmission and improve performance. I trusted their recommendation and paid $5,949.65 in cash for a “Transmission Evaluation + GM 6L80/90 Overhaul Service (4WD)” on 11/20/2024, with a 3-year warranty. Based on what I’ve experienced since, I seriously question whether the transmission was ever actually opened or rebuilt at all. When I returned with issues, instead of honoring their warranty, they tried to charge me again just to look at the vehicle. On top of that, they showed no interest in helping and completely dismissed my concerns. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and feels dishonest. I paid a significant amount of money for a service that I do not believe was properly performed. I strongly recommend anyone considering this shop think twice and proceed with extreme caution.

I’m a repeat customer for them now! This being my second vehicle in need of a transmission repair/replacement. They were about 25 years apart but still the same great service and turn around times as I remember with the first one! I tell everyone I know that is need of a transmission service to go here and they won’t need to worry about it again as long as they eventually check the transmission fluids as they should during an oil change. No I’ve never had any fluid leaks from their work either.
